recovery support.
If you’ve ever tried to quit and cut back on your drinking, only to find yourself in the same spot (or worse) a month or two later, you’re not alone. That’s because quitting drinking is about so much more than quitting drinking. It’s about learning emotional sobriety and self-awareness skills. It’s about learning to be with yourself without escape.
We live in a society that glorifies escape. From the time we’re kids, we’re taught that adults gravitate toward alcohol to increase pleasure (celebrations) and to decrease pain (stress after a long day at work). We’re shown and taught that this is the ‘normal’ way to process our feelings. A normal way to make it through life.
That’s why, when you choose to make a change in your relationship with alcohol, but don’t address your underlying feelings, self worth, or the real reasons WHY you drink, you’ll often find yourself with glass in hand once again.
That merry-go-round of moderation stops now. You deserve a life that is full and present and to be someone you know you can count on.
who it’s for:
Most of the people I work with are deeply sensitive and feel that they have had to relegate this part of themselves to survive in an extractive, transactional and capitalistic society. Alcohol has been a tool to manage the discomfort and longing that comes with being an empathetic and spiritual person…but drinking now causes more pain and harm than the relief it promised to provide.
Grey-area drinking recovery support is for you if you’re committed to changing your relationship with yourself by changing your relationship with drinking.
My guidance is most transformative to those who:
are ready to lower the walls of self-protection and be open to: being supported, experiencing discomfort with curiosity, processing grief and making new choices. As we work together, you will be supported through all of these experiences.
are willing to take risks and recognize that nothing changes if nothing changes. You are open and willing to try new ways of relating to yourself (being kinder, gentler, more willing to take up space) and others (not automatically letting other people’s experiences or perceptions take priority over your own).
feel a sense of conviction in why it’s important to engage with this work. You aren’t healing to just stop feeling a certain way, you also have a desire to create and shape a more true-to-you emotional and spiritual life, and a desire to let that healing ripple outward.

"Through her coaching, Kristy can help define your new path and light the way for you"
Kristy was the first person I talked to about my decision to live sober. Her attentive approach provided immediate comfort and support. Kristy really listens. It is a true gift to be in the presence of someone who heartily hears me and taps into what I imagine for myself. Through her coaching, Kristy can help define your new path and light the way for you.

"...one of the BEST decisions I've ever made."
Working with Kristy has been one of the BEST decisions I've made! Her warm and compassionate nature was just what I needed as I changed my relationship with alcohol. I loved the Voxer (voice messaging) support, reinforcing the healing work in our weekly sessions. Kristy is wise, intuitive, and non-judgemental, a trusted guide on the path to wholeness, self-love, and sobriety. I highly recommend working with her.

"I was able to release years of guilt and shame"
I was alive in September 2022, but I was not living - I was merely existing day to day as a high functioning mother, wife and accountant. I didn’t know who I was. I was drinking daily and knew something needed to change but also knew I couldn’t do it alone.
Then the universe stepped in and my part led me to Kristy. I was able to join one of her small groups - this is when my life really started changing and I finally began living. In her group, I was witnessed, supported and guided. I was able to release shame and guilt that I held onto for years…while being met with love and compassion.
I am no longer existing - I am growing and thriving. And it all started working with Kristy. She played an instrumental role in helping me save myself. I love myself and I’m excited for what lies ahead. I never imagined that i’d be able to say that and believe it.

"...it has completely changed my life in more ways than I could have imagined..."
I can't remember the sequence of events that lead me to Kristy's Instagram but the universe knew what it was doing.
I first learned the definition of HSP through Kristy and I was hooked. I had been sober curious for awhile and as soon as she posted Sobriety for the Sensitive Soul I just knew I wanted to try it out even though I was scared.
BEST DECISION EVER! From the first minute of the first session Kristy did an amazing job making me feel comfortable, seen and valued. She gave me the tools I needed to make better decisions for myself while acknowledging mind, body and soul.
If you are on the fence about joining this group session please know that it has completely changed my life in more ways than I could have imagined a year ago.

“The only thing that has completely changed my relationship with alcohol and how I see myself has been working with Kristy”
Alcohol was a problem for me, but I didn’t fall into the typical definition of an addict.
After I saw an addiction specialist, it felt like she didn’t know what to do with me: I didn’t have a DUI, I never put my children in harms way, it didn’t interfere with work. I felt like I had to be “worse” to get help.
Now I know that I was just so desperate for someone to help me feel seen and now drown in my own self-hatred and shame. I attended all the things, AA included.
The only thing that has completely changed my relationship with alcohol and how I see myself has been working with Kristy.
